Opening of €1.4m Curracloe Water Sports Facility

Barrett Mahony Consulting Engineers had the honour of working with Fáilte Ireland to develop the exemplar design for these amazing facilities.

Our scope of work involved developing a civil and structural design that would suit a number of varying sites around the country, accounting for different topographies, ground conditions and access to services. The building is striking and will provide badly needed changing and showering facilities for swimmers and water sport enthusiasts.

The surface water management for the site involves green roof for interception and attenuation storage along with other surface level SUDS elements.

Congratulations to Wexford County Council for the completion of the first facility and looking forward to seeing others develop around our beautiful coastline.
