Kildare Innovation Campus Infrastructure – Project Update
BMCE are working with the team at Collen Construction, as their Civil and Structural Engineering Consultants on this complex D&B infrastructure project at Kildare Innovation Campus.
The project involves the installation of significant civils infrastructure across a 72-hectare landbank, which will support the ongoing transformation of Kildare Innovation Campus (KIC) into a leading European hub for science, innovation and technology.
The project includes:
- Over 1.8km of new/upgraded access roads and associated storm drainage network, attenuation ponds & other nature-based SuDS measures
- 2.8km of new segregated two-way cycle tracks
- 3.6km of new pedestrian footpaths
- New 205no. space surface car park including permeable paving & EV charging
- New signalised junction with R404 Celbridge Road including road realignment & widening, bus stop relocations, and footpath upgrades
- Ca. 300m of gabion basket retaining walls
- 260m of 1.5m diameter storm culvert diversion
- 2.6km of 9-way fibre ducting to support the development of future data centre sites within the campus, along with various other utilities including MV, LV, Gas, Heat Recovery Pipework & Public Lighting
